DIY Peppermint Foot Soak



Is there anything more relaxing that soaking your feet in some hot bubbly water after a long day?  I frequently toss in 3-4 tbsp of Epsom salts and a few drops of Peppermint essential oil into my foot bath, the combination does wonders to soothe achy feet.






What you will need:

  • A small glass container with a tight lid

  • Epsom Salts

  • Peppermint Essential Oil (approx. 7-10 drops per 3/4 cu salt)

  • Natural plant based red food coloring powder (can be found at most natural food stores)

In a small bowl, add the salts and follow with 4-5 drops of essential oil. Immediately sprinkle in some of the food coloring, this will allow some of it to crystalize with the oil and create a nice “peppermint candy” look. Wait a few seconds, then stir and add more color/essential oil to achieve the desired shade and fragrance. Be careful not to overdue it on the oils, a little goes a long way! Add mix to your glass container, and decorate with a red bow! You can also get cute labels at your local craft store to place on the bottle as well. There you have it, a great gift for any special occasion!
